  • End-User Experience - monitors the End-User's experience in terms of system and application up time and response times.
  • End-to-End Monitoring - tracks application availability and transaction response time from the user through the network and server environment. Tracks the true user experience with the application. The numbers stand up to the scrutiny of both users and suppliers of IT services, providing a sound basis for negotiation and positive working relationships.
  • Non-Intrusive Architecture - unlike many products, InsightETE does not degrade network and application performance. This is accomplished through the use of passive monitoring using technology that doesn't need to be installed on nor directly query your production servers. This technology monitors all real transactions without the need to generate synthetic transactions through the system or intrude on the production environment in anyway.

InsightETE's Event Correlation Engine is much simpler to maintain because there are no scripts to maintain. The criteria for correlation is automatically populated by the 'Alert Threshold System'. The 'Top-Down-Approach' which starts with the affect on end-users, quickly determines if the network or server environment is the culprit. If the issue is in the server environment, the tiers and platforms envolved are identified. Across all tiers and platforms, the transaction details are available for analysis.
  • Interoperability - measures any combination of Mainframe, Unix and Microsoft based applications.
  • History - transaction history, as well as details of individual problems and their diagnostics, are recorded in a relational Data Mart.
  • Drill Down/Problem Determination - not only shows how well the delivered services performed against the SLA, but also retains the details for future investigation and trend analysis in a relational Data Mart. Drill down and exception reporting comes standard with the InsightETE system.
  • Reporting - easy to use, and presents charts and reports consistent with service offerings as defined and negotiated in the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Additional ad-hoc reporting can be performed through widely available tools such as Cognos and Crystal Reports.
  • Simple to Administer - extensive use of configuration parameters and self-discovery technology simplifies and reduces the time to maintain both the SLA requirements and the technical environment as it evolves (including IP addresses, locations, and application transaction types).
